THE OUSA EXECUTIVE

Rosalin Mackenzie

Queer Student Rep

The basics of my job are to represent queer students on OUSA and University committees, raise awareness of queer issues on campus and work towards eliminating intolerance and bigotry towards queer students on campus. Basically my job is to make this University the most queer- friendly University in the whole wide world.

Projects I'm working on:
Liaising with OUSA's Queer Support Coordinator on Diversity Week events, international day against homophobia campaign, poster campaign, monthly newsletter, queer film festival, and queer themed quiz night to raise funds for a charity. I would really appreciate any suggestions on other events/campaigns/anything that I can do throughout the year to help queer students on campus.

Committees I represent you on:
External-Quality Advancement Committee and Admissions Advisory Group
Internal- Welfare Committee, Governance Structure Working Party and VSM Working Party.

My Blogs:
Nope but have an article in the OGT (Otago Gaily Times). You can pick one of these up at our Student Support Centre.
