SPACE

What? SPACE is a talking group for queer and questioning students at Otago University.
SPACE is a place for us to explore our feelings, think about sexuality and gender and what it means to us.
It will be a structured group, which means the facilitators will have a topic or topics for us to discuss each session, but it will be open to the direction people want to take it in.
This is a committed space, to ensure the confidentiality and comfort of all participants - people coming along must commit to being a member of the group.

When? Every Tuesday during the semester, 3:00 - 4:30
Where? The SSC back room
Who? Guided by two facilitators, one male and one female. Please contact q.support@ousa.org.nz for more information.

'Queer' is a term used to describe the many variations of sexual attraction and sex/gender identity, including intersex, transgender, transsexual, genderqueer, asexual, fa'afafine, takatapui, lesbian, bisexual and gay. Although it may not be the preferred term for everyone, it is used to challenge binary representations of sexuality, sex, and gender.
