CONVERSATIONAL GERMAN LANGUAGE

This course is for beginners. The course provides an introduction to the German language through conversation. You'll cover greetings, introductions, asking for and giving personal information, make requests, alphabet and pronunciation. The tutor is a native German speaker.

ITALIAN LANGUAGE FOR TRAVELLERS

This course offers you the opportunity to learn the cultural and communication basics of Italian language for study, work or travel. At the end of five weeks of fun conversations you wlil be able to introduce yourself, buy food, drinks, or tickets, and ask for directions.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE FOR BEGINNERS

MANDARIN - INTRODUCTORY

The objective of this course is to introduce non-Mandarin speakers to the rudiments of the language and to impart the basic tools necessary for self-learning and exploration beyond the course. Emphasis will be placed on the tone-based pronunciation system of Mandarin Chinese, the writing system and common vocabulary items and utterances used in everyday communication. It is hoped that participants interest in the Chinese language and culture will be fruitfully stimulated.

RUSSIAN BEGINNERS

This course is for beginners. This is the perfect opportunity to experience a unique language and culture. This course will offer an introduction to conversational Russian. Come, learn, and have fun.

SPANISH FOR TRAVELLERS - BEGINNERS

This course is designed for those with no previous Spanish language experience, including beginners and those wanting to learn a few tips and phrases before travelling to Spanish speaking countries. It also provides a practical additoin for students studying Spanish at University. Designed and taught by a native speaker, the course emphasises practical communication and incorporates a myriad of teaching resources. Join us for a lively, creative course with integrated pair work and group work opportunities.

SPANISH FOR TRAVELLERS - CONTINUING

This course is for students who have completed an OUSA Clubs and Societies Centre 'Spanish for Travellers - Beginners' course, or have taken SPANISH 131, or have had a little previous exposure to the Spanish language. The courses were designed and are taught by a native speaker using a myriad of teaching resources; there will be an emphasis on practical communiction. Join us for lively, creative classes with integrated pair work and group work opportunities.
