Earth Hour

Celebrate Earth Hour in the Octagon on Saturday, 27 March, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
The lights will be turned off as the crowds gather. Entertainment will include fire performers and drummers.
Earth Hour organisers urge us all turn off non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.
The University of Otago is helping the Dunedin City Council to support this WWF initiative locally and invites you to join us at the Octagon event, or support the event locally by turning off your lights for one hour if you can't make it.
Have a candlelit party in your flat, or even better, encourage your neighbours to join in. Let's show the world Dunedin in the dark!
